One-To-One Sessions

Elena can provide in-home one-on-one sessions for an hour at a time, to address specific issues or challenges you are facing as a parent.

Not all of us are comfortable in a group session, and often working parents struggle to attend the scheduled classes, in which case the personalised one-to-one consulting sessions are perfect.

Typical one-to-one sessions are:

  • Sleep for baby and parents

  • Lap feeding

  • How to create pleasurable nappy changes

  • Understanding toddler behaviour

  • Understanding sibling dynamics

Essentially whatever is important to you, of you are wanting to learn more about from a RIE parenting perspective.

For TLC parents: $50 per hour

For Non-TLC parents: $100 per hour

RIE® Before Baby™

“For expectant parents… I am aware that now you are preoccupied with the birth of your baby, and everything that happens afterwards may seem remote and intangible. Yet this is the ideal time to become acquainted with some basic RIE ideas… it is [easier] to develop good habits from the beginning than to undo and change ‘bad’ habits later.”
—Magda Gerber, RIE® Founding Director

There is so much pressure on expectant parents, With Before Baby™, Elena will help you to establish healthy patterns, and expectations for parents from the beginning and includes:

  • What crying means and how to respond

  • Setting up the baby’s room

  • Sleep for baby and parents

  • Bathing, Feeding & Nappy Changes

  • “Quality” time together

Fees: $450 for X sessions.

RIE® Parent Infant Classes

Parent-Infant Guidance classes help parents to be confident to parent in a RIE® way.

Facilitated by Elena, a RIE® Associate, small groups of parents and babies come together in a relaxing, infant-friendly environment to take pleasure in the infants’ unfolding development and play.

Classes are limited to eight infants and their parents. Whenever possible, infants are grouped according to their stages of motor development.

TLC subsidises parent infant classes with Elena, for children enrolled to start, or already attending TLC The Learning Centre™

Upcoming Parent Infant Classes:

  • August - Mid-week - Ponsonby Community Centre

  • August - Saturday mornings - TLC

For TLC parents: $10 per class, 8 classes per term.

As at July 2020, we are in the process of establishing how we can formalise and establish TLC RIE inspired coffee groups, or play groups. If this is of interest to you, please send through a request using the button below.
